I mixed the flour with baking powder, then I added diced butter, milk, sour cream and egg and kneaded until I got a non-sticky, elastic crust. I left the crust to cool until I prepared the filling.
I put 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter to heat in a pan, then I added diced meat and sliced carrots. I let the turkey meat brown for about 5 minutes. In another pan I heated the rest of the oil, and when it was well heated I added the mushrooms cut into quarters and the onion cut quite coarsely. The mushrooms left a little water, and when the amount of liquid decreased almost completely, I added the meat, the carrots and the 2 tablespoons of flour over the mushrooms and mixed so that the flour was evenly distributed. When I took it off the stove I added a little salt, white pepper and herbs from Provence.
I divided the crust dough into 2 halves. I spread the first half of the crust on the floured table and placed it in a ceramic tray greased with a little oil. I covered the bottom and the walls of the tray with this dough and I cut the excess shell so that it did not come out of the tray. I put the filling over the crust and sprinkled the pieces of Brie cheese on top. I covered the filling with the other sheet of dough. Because I had quite a bit of coke left, I used the rest to decorate the pie.
I baked the pie in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour. 15 minutes before taking it out of the oven, I greased the crust with beaten egg.
Rabbit pie & # 8211 quick and easy
The holidays are over, I spent it with family and friends. It's time to go back to work and the little ones to school. And the question becomes obsessive again "What else do we pack"? I don't know if there is anyone who prepares too little food for the holidays. And even if it were so, the guests do not come empty handed, they also bring many goodies. And at the end there is a lot of food that we stumble across in the fridge and finally it reaches "The big basket." I have some left this year Baked rabbit steak which I decided not to throw away but to turn into one good pie for dinner or lunch at the office. Let's see how we proceed:
300 gr finely chopped steak meat (rabbit, chicken, turkey, lamb, goat, even pork)
2-3 large mushrooms
1 medium onion
1/2 bunch of parsley
100 gr diced cheese
salt, pepper, cooking oil
250 gr flour
100 ml of warm water in which I dissolved a pinch of salt
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon of vinegar
Method of preparation:
In a pan, fry the onions and mushrooms until soft and then add the meat to heat because it is already cooked. If the steak also had sauce, we can put it too. Season with salt and pepper, leave it on the fire for a while to blend the flavors and reduce the sauce formed. Remove from the heat and leave to cool. In the meantime we do pie dough. Sift the flour in a larger bowl or directly on the table, make a hole in the middle and put the oil and vinegar, mixing the flour little by little with a fork. Add water little by little, gathering the flour from the edges, then knead until you get one elastic dough that makes air bubbles inside. Divide the dough in half, cover it with plastic wrap and a towel and let it rest for about 20 minutes. The composition in the pan has cooled well and we can put the parsley, cheese and eggs, one by one, mixing well. We spread two sheets of pie, one bigger and one a little smaller. In a tray in which we put a baking sheet that we greased with a little oil, we place the large sheet greased with oil, then the meat composition and the other sheet on top, which we also grease with oil. Bring the edges of the bottom sheet over the top sheet and seal the pie. We stung her from place to place with a fork then grease it with a yolk mixed with a little milk. Bake on medium heat for about 45 minutes, or until the test straw comes out clean.
Do not put eggs in the composition until it has cooled completely, if you do not want to make them omelet. If you think the composition is too juicy and you think the sheet will not bake well, sprinkle some breadcrumbs on the sheet before putting the composition.
I did something good, I solved the package problem and, with a simple recipe, I saved a steak to reach the basket.

I had to try mastery Crock Potand a pie and I started with a wonderful pie with meat and vegetables.
I liked what came out, both the dough and the filling.
So another plus for this wonderful help in the kitchen & # 8211 Slow Cooker Crock Pot.
[ingredients title = & # 8221Ingrediente & # 8221]
Dough (for 2 pies)
- 150 ml of milk
- 30 ml oil
- 1 guarantee envelope for leavened dough
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 400 gr flour
- 500 gr minced meat, mixture (beef + pork)
- 1 capsicum
- 1 carrot
- 2 yellow onions
- 5-6 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 or
- 5-6 green parsley threads
[preparation title = & # 8221Preparation & # 8221]
We prepare the filling first.
We clean and chop the vegetables, then we heat them in hot oil (on the stove), until they penetrate well.
Add the minced meat over them, which we seasoned with salt and spices.
Cover the dish and let it simmer slowly over medium heat, stirring the ingredients from time to time, for a uniform preparation of the meat.
When the meat is well penetrated, turn off the heat and put the mixture of ingredients in a sieve to drain the excess fat and cool, then add an egg and chopped parsley and mix well.
For the dough, we mix the flour with the guarantor for leavened doughs, and we pour over them, gradually, the warm milk in which we dissolved the salt and the sugar.
Knead a dough not too hard, and at the end add the oil, pouring it into your hands and on the work table, kneading the dough until it swallows all the oil.
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes, then divide it in two.
We also divide the filling in two.
We will give a part of the dough and a part of the filling to the refrigerator until the first pie is prepared.
Spread the second part of the dough on the work table, in a thin sheet, place the filling at one end and fold over it the free part of the dough, then give it a round shape as the base of the bowl and crochet it nicely on the edges, for not to leave the filling during the heat treatment.
Grease the pan with a little oil and place baking paper in it, then add the pie.
Place the lid on top, connect the appliance to the power supply and set the Low cooking mode for 2 hours.
Being a thin dough will not require long baking time.
After an hour and 30 minutes, I lifted the lid and turned the pie upside down in the bowl, to brown it on top.
Certain dishes, especially those made from leavened dough, are turned from side to side for even browning.
So this time too Slow Cooker Croock Pothe fulfilled his mission and I really liked how my meat pie came out.
My boys served it hot, with ketchup, but it goes well with fresh vegetables.
